Ultimate Absorb is a game of action platformer genre developed by NexZen Studios. The game’s main charater is Eddie which is a Solider from Indian Army. He somehow got a gun which has the ability to absorb the powers of the enemy when the enemy is dead. He also managed to get into a world of fantasy where he met many enemies with unique powers/abilities.

just tried that version, every button press has multiple seconds of lag making the game unplayable.

While I've managed to reach the end of the game (at minimal health), there doesn't seem to be a key and/or mouse-button allocated to firing the gun

It's H Key for firing the gun you can also read in the help section of the game. For going into the help section there is a button on the main menu.

you can also activate abilities using keyboard by using I, z and r for invisibility, invincibility and regeneration respectively.
